Everybody

Written by Branden Jacobs-Jenkins
Directed by Kyle Haden

March 16-18 & 20

“Why is it these plays about death always only ever wind up trying to tell us about life?”

When God demands that Everybody to go on a journey to Death and explain how they lived their life, Everybody seeks a companion. Meeting all from Friendship to Strength to Stuff, Everybody tries to convince everything to come with them to the grave. When the time comes for Everybody to go to Death, the question is who will remain as the journey comes to an end. With six actors in the company having their roles assigned by chance every night, over 120 different possible combinations give the chance for everyone to play every role. Branden Jacobs-Jenkins’ Everybody is a meta-theatrical, modern retelling of a 15th century morality play that is never told the same way twice.
