My Bio:

Alexandra Hasselback is an EMC Stage Manager with 10 years of experience in theatre, live events, and film/television production.

Growing up in Buffalo, NY, Ally’s first exposure to live theatre came from watching her older sister perform at Shakespeare in Delaware Park, one of the nation’s largest free outdoor Shakespeare festivals. After working in the Buffalo theatre community for many years throughout high school, Ally knew that her true calling would be on the management side of the arts entertainment industry. Ally followed this passion to Boston, MA, where she graduated with a B.S. in Film and Television Production from Boston University, Summa Cum Laude. Ally’s production work gave her the opportunity to work in Los Angeles, where she enhanced her skills in film editing and equipment repair and rental.

Ally returned to academia in 2017 as an M.F.A. candidate in Carnegie Mellon’s Stage and Production Management graduate program. Throughout the span of her 10 years in professional Stage Management, Ally has worked on Broadway-scale musicals, intimate straight plays, multi-departmental dance festivals, and repertory new works in the theatre scenes of Buffalo, NY, Pittsburgh, PA, and Wichita, KS. A current EMC member, Ally’s upcoming work includes an AEA position as one of two Production Stage Managers for Music Theatre Wichita. Ally also holds a full-time position as Personal Assistant to Miss Fitt the Cat, who is a benevolent and fair employer.
