Growing up tucked away in the trees of the Pacific Northwest, Jaron was always trying to make the best out of any situation. After his first grade teacher informed him that the classroom wasn’t his personal stage, he rebounded, met the theatre, and fell deeply in love. Jaron channeled his energy into acting and went on to perform in over a dozen local productions before receiving his first accolade, earning first place in the 2015 WA State August Wilson Monologue Competition. In 2016, he took first place in Monologues and Duo Musical at the WA State Thespian Festival. Since joining Carnegie Mellon. he has received 2nd place in the NSAL Monologue Competition, and was nominated by Broadway World as Best Actor in a Professional Play for his portrayal of Hamlet.
In 2018 he proposed and developed the brand new acting class at CMU titled, Culture Class. It is an opportunity for diverse young actors to explore marginalized playwrights, dialects, and the spectrum of global cultures. For his study abroad semester, he vetted the Contemporary Performance Practice Program at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, where he studied radical pedagogy, music, and theater as a social practice. Beyond acting, Jaron is a recording artist, lyricist and multi-instrumentalist with music on all major platforms. He enjoys organizing community events with other artists, skateboarding and gardening. Please view his YouTube link for more exciting content!
