Bio:

Apriah Williams is a Technical Director with a background in Scenic Design and Scenic Art. Born in Miami, Florida and raised in the Turks & Caicos Islands, she has always had a hidden passion for many sides of the performing arts. Once she was finally able to, she dove in and embraced every opportunity to learn as much about theatre as she could. Apriah’s theatrical experiences have involved project managing, designing sets, technical directing shows, fabricating scenery and props, painting scenery, technical designing, estimating shows, and more. She has also branched off into TV/Film, working with the wardrobe department on season 2 of the HBO show Ballers. Her training has allowed her to gain national recognition, achieving the KCACTF national award in scenic design, as well as allowing her to travel to Las Vegas to take classes in special effects and rigging. She values gaining knowledge from her experiences and the people around her. Apriah loves taking on new challenges, learning new things and working with people. More than anything, she loves being able to take something that was once a little idea or concept and turn it into something for many to enjoy.
