My Bio:

Cameron King (she/her) is a theatre artist who works with a strong base in unguarded collaboration, with the philosophy that a happy audience starts with a healthy team.  Born and raised in New York City, Cameron began a Junior International Theatre Society branch at her all-girls middle school before being accepted into LaGuardia High School’s celebrated Drama Department.  It was there that Cameron began to develop her directorial skills assisting on their annual musicals, operas, and galas.  She was one of three students accepted into the BFA Directing program at the University of Michigan where she worked on seven productions with three theatre companies in her year there.  She then transferred into Carnegie Mellon’s School of Drama where she wrote, produced and directed both at the university and with her own theatre companies: Group 404 and Shadyside Shakespeare.  Cameron spent a summer in St. Louis as the Directing Intern for the Muny’s 101st season, and a semester in London studying at LAMDA while observing the development of The Prince of Egypt musical.  She now lives in New York City with her dad and dog, serving as an Associate Artist for G45 Productions and the 2021 Directing/Producing Apprentice for Bay Street Theater.
