Bio:
Celia Kasberg is a costume artisan pursuing her MFA in Costume Production at Carnegie Mellon University. Her love for costumes began at the age of seven when her great-grandmother taught her how to sew. Celia’s passion has since then grown in the artistry of crafts, from the rustic integrity of leather working, the streamlined construction of millinery, to the delicate hand of dyeing and painting. Hailing from a small town in Texas, Celia hopes to make the leap and pursue her big city dreams of being a crafts artisan for theatre, film, and television. Recent credits include millinery and craft work for Broadway’s The Music Man and dye and craft work for Carnegie Mellon’s productions of Woyzeck, Love and Information, Power Trip, Béatrice et Bénédict, and Into the Woods. In 2022, Celia is looking forward to being head crafts artisan and milliner for Natasha, Pierre & the Great Comet of 1812 at Carnegie Mellon University.
