Bio:

Originally from Los Angeles, California, DJ Lesh is currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in technical direction while simultaneously acquiring Emergency Services certifications. DJ started his theater career at the Harvard-Westlake School in Los Angeles serving in many roles in productions throughout his time at the school. In his senior year, he served as the upper school Technical Director, a paid position. DJ spent one summer as a sound designer and facilities manager at the Whitefire Theater in Los Angeles where he obtained his first professional sound design credit for the play Buried Child by Sam Shepard. DJ continued his career in theater in the Carnegie-Mellon School of Drama Technical Direction program. While at CMU, DJ has filled the roles of Job Lead (The Adrienne Kennedy Plays), Production Manager (Lunar Gala 2020: Yesterday), and Technical Designer/Carpenter on multiple productions.

Outside of school, DJ has also pursued his passion for community service in Emergency Services. Obtaining his Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) and Fire Fighter I certifications, DJ volunteers as an EMT and firefighter at the Monroeville Volunteer Fire Company Station 1 where he also serves on the Board of Directors. DJ also works as a casual/part-time EMT at Parkview EMS and Ross/West View EMSA. DJ has continued his education by taking multiple classes in Rope Rescue, Structural Collapse Rescue, Water Rescue, and Vehicle Rescue. 

Following graduation, DJ hopes to find a position that allows him to leverage the skills he has learned both in and out of school.
