Hi, I’m Josh. Please call me JD. I love theatre. It is my heart and my passion and it’s why I pursued my M.F.A. in Technical Direction from Carnegie Mellon University. I love being part of the process from initial concept through design and build, tech and show runs, down to strike and cleanup. I have a strong desire to seek answers to complex problems and to be a part of the team that comes up with creative solutions to constantly wow the audience. 

I have skills developed over the years in carpentry, electrics, programming, team leadership, and project management. I enjoy working with diverse teams from different backgrounds, understand the challenges of team development, interaction, and collaboration and how to work on both team and independent projects effectively. I also love to travel. My goal is to work either at a regional theatre, as part of a national tour, or as a team member working to develop the latest technology and training others for the future. This is my passion. I make events.
