Bio:

Matt is an MFA Lighting Design candidate in the Carnegie Mellon School of Drama Class of 2022.

Matt has worked as a freelance lighting designer for regional theatre companies such as The Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey and the Ivoryton Playhouse. Matt is currently a 2021 ETC Fred Foster Mentee, received a Special Recognition in the 2021 Claypaky Shine A Light Competition and was a 2021 Hangar Theatre Company Lighting Design Fellow. Selected lighting design credits include Natasha, Pierre & The Great Comet of 1812 (CMU), L’Enfant de les Sortiléges (CMU), Cendrillon (CMU), A Child’s Christmas in Wales (STNJ), Power/Trip (CMU), The Rainmaker (STNJ), Tartuffe (STNJ), The Bacchae 2.1 (Hangar Theatre), The Sun Serpent (Hangar Theatre), Assassins: The Musical (CMU), Elegies: for Angels, Punks, and Raging Queens (CMU). Matt received his BA from Marymount Manhattan College.

Outside of theatre Matt has a passion for sailing, art history, reading Stephen King novels and cooking.
