Bio:

Miranda Boodheshwar is a Guyanese-American costume designer and mixed media artist who grew up in South Florida. She is currently based in Pittsburgh, pursuing a BFA in Drama from Carnegie Mellon University. She has a passion for social justice and strives to always be the voice at the table who speaks up for those who are unable to. Her aim is to tell stories from a valuable and ethical perspective. Miranda loves bringing abstract craftwork and non-traditional materials into her work. She enjoys working with fun and colorful projects that bring joy to others, as well as projects that encourage audiences to think.

Some recent designs include La Finta Giardiniera for CMU’s School of Music, an independent work share of the new musical Birds and Beansprouts, and in my dreams, meditations and moments of reflection for CMU’s School of Drama. She also assisted Mindy Eshelman on An Odyssey for Quantum Theatre and will assist Zhang Yu this spring on Natasha Pierre and The Great Comet of 1812 for CMU’s School of Drama.
