Costume Designer
Class of 2021
(she/her/hers)

My Bio:

Morgen Warner is a costume designer originally from San Francisco with experience in theater, opera, and dance and an interest in exploring design for film and TV. She has her MFA in Costume Design from Carnegie Mellon and her BA from Vassar College. Her anti-racist theatre practice centers connecting with performers and seeking a sense of joy in everything she works on.

Morgen started her career in Berkeley at the California Shakespeare Theater. She soon moved to New York where she started as a Costume Intern at the Juilliard School and then worked in Catherine Zuber’s studio on My Fair Lady and Moulin Rouge. Her summers were spent at the Santa Fe Opera until her transition to graduate school.

In quarantine, Morgen has delighted in deep diving into the folktales of Baba Yaga and Imperial Russia for her thesis while rising to the challenges of zoom theater. She loves storytelling, and clothes are her favorite medium. Armed with optimism and color theory, Morgen looks forward to pursuing costume design as the world opens again.
