My Bio:

Qiaoyu Joy Zhang is a lighting designer graduating with her MFA in lighting design from Carnegie Mellon University class of 2021. Prior to current she earned a Master’s degree in Cinematography, and she shot short narrative films and music videos as director of photography. Her background in cinematic lighting gives her a unique perspective as she approaches theatrical lighting design. She has been selected for the 2020 ETC Fred Foster Student Mentorship Program. Recent design credits include Giulio Cesare, Memory Habit, Something Massive Looms Overhead, and Cosmo St. Charles is Dead. She hopes to continue her career as a lighting designer in both the US and China.
