Riley Noland

Actor/Singer/Dancer
Class of 2022
(she/her)

Bio:

Born and raised in Honolulu, Hawai’i, Riley spent most of her childhood being quite the contrarian and resenting the fact that she lived in actual paradise. Upon moving to Pittsburgh and experiencing winter, she was met with a bitter reality check. Despite the cold, Riley is eternally grateful for the time she has spent at Carnegie Mellon University where she received the Helen Wayne Rauh Award for Excellence in Musical Theatre, performing roles such as Natasha (Natasha, Pierre & the Great Comet of 1812), Marie Antoinette (Marie Antoinette), and the Devil.

Outside of performing, Riley is enamored with almost every other medium of art she has encountered. Riley believes strongly that it is imperative to our society to place more value on the Arts and it is our responsibility to be more thoughtful in its consumption. Films being her favorite, she dreams of one day working alongside thought-provoking auteurs; perhaps if she’s lucky, it might be one of her favorites, like Claire Denis or Wong Kar-wai.
