School of Drama Tours
The School of Drama at Carnegie Mellon University offers in-depth tours of the Purnell Center for the Arts for students and their families interested in learning more about the university and school.
Tours are only offered Monday through Friday starting at 12:00 pm. No weekend tours are available. The tours are by appointment only and are conducted by current School of Drama students under the advisement of School of Drama staff members. *Only one ticket registration needed per family.*
Tours typically last 45-60 minutes and they start in the Purnell Center lobby, second level, at the top of the main staircase.
During the tour you will learn about:
- Our classrooms and performance venues
- The School of Drama Audition, Interview & Application process
- Our conservatory training program
- Our esteemed and internationally recognized faculty
- What life is like for a student at the School of Drama
Because of the sensitive nature of many of our classes, the School of Drama does not have an open door policy on visiting students attending classes.
