Bio:

Elinore Tolman is a costume and independent fashion designer who will be graduating Carnegie Mellon University with a Costume Design major and a Film and Visual Media minor. Elinore is currently costume designing Carnegie Mellon’s 50th Anniversary production of Godspell, where she is excited to bring her own eccentric twist on the clothing.

Elinore was raised in Glen Ellyn, Illinois, surrounded by vibrant, colorful, handmade clothing by her mother. Inspired by a family of passionate artists, Elinore hopes to carry on her talents to the mediums of film, television and theater.

Elinore’s minor in film has helped expand her knowledge of the industry beyond the design world. She is looking forward to combining her skills from both areas to enhance her future career to its fullest potential.

During the pandemic, Elinore pushed herself to explore her skills as a designer and created her own independent fashion brand, E.T. MADE IT! This consists of hand painted and embellished clothing she advertises and sells via Instagram (@e.t.made.it). Her brand helps her express her tastes to its fullest potential and has brought her new skills she applies to her costume designs as well.

She is thrilled to see what the future holds in store for her, as she knows it will be a very bright one.
