Isabela Ferrer

Actor/Singer/Dancer
Class of 2022
(she/her)

Bio:

Isabela Ferrer is an Irish-Puerto Rican actor who was raised in the West Village of New York City, though she’s also spent much of her life in the countryside of Northern Ireland, where her mother’s family resides.

At Carnegie Mellon she has been able to stretch her work outside of her technique in musical theater and acting through many different studies including mask work, devised theater, performing live jazz music, student short films and student produced plays. All of which have given her a colorful array of interests.

She recently just finished her abroad term at Arthaus.Berlin in devised and physical theater. A graduate program in which she studied neutral mask and physical theater from the students of Jacques Lecoq, and other international teachers.

In this final semester she will be playing Helene in Natasha Pierre and the Great Comet of 1812 which she is more than ready to begin, especially after this long break from live theater.

She enjoys painting with acrylics, reading autobiographies and listening to music that is from decades before her generation, and looks forward to taking her experiences from school and sending herself out into the industry, exhilarated to start her work.
