Jackson Eick

Actor
Class of 2022
(he/him)

Bio:

Jackson Eick’s acting debut was pretending to be Zorro every day in pre-school — a place he was too frightened to attend without a bold character to inhabit, at least until lunch. Born in Los Angeles and raised on a constant, intense diet of film history, he was inspired by the great actors of the silver screen to strive for the stars himself. Pursuing the craft became non-negotiable. The Young Actor’s Studio in North Hollywood introduced the depths and wonders of acting as a serious art form. He has not looked back since…

Jackson believes in the true power we possess as storytellers. In addition to his passion for acting, he is a director, writer and producer of new work. Upon arriving at Carnegie Mellon, he took advantage of the opportunity to minor in Film & Media Studies and has since written and directed student films with new friends who share the same passion. When Covid-19 hit, Jackson came together with his peers to help found two companies for which he helps to produce, write, act and direct — both aimed to make art possible just when it appeared futile. Most recently, Jackson took the Fall 2021 semester to study classical acting abroad at the London Academy of Music & Dramatic Art. Above all, Jackson values collaboration, curiosity and the will to challenge the status quo through creativity.
