Bio:

Jonas Harrison (he/him) is a scenic designer and artist. Originally from the south shore of Boston, he was trained in studio art and painting at the city’s Museum of Fine Arts. He has a love for the magic of theater and live entertainment and looks forward to pursuing opportunities in New York and elsewhere.

Jonas has assisted on several productions both off-broadway and regionally. Recent scenic design credits include Lonely Planet (Carnegie Mellon), Micromégas (Irma Freeman Center), Constellations (Carnegie Mellon), and a six-show lineup for the College Light Opera Company 2022 season. He has also developed media content for Church (Queensborough Performing Arts Center) and American Idiot (Thelma Center for the Arts).

Additionally, he has a fascination with virtual reality and enjoys exploring its applications within the design process. This year, he was the lead modeler on a VR research project exploring soundscape and environment immersion.
