Bio:

Julio Cesar Gutierrez is a proud Cuban-American who from a young age started searching for his passions through many mediums. At first it was soccer, then tennis and then he eventually landed into the world of music by playing the guitar at age 11. It was here that he immediately got himself into singing and soon after acting. At age 14 he auditioned for New World School of the Arts and once he got accepted, he was finally given the chance to learn how to treat acting as a craft and art form.

Through the years, he has consistently led with his heart and allowed that to move him through the roles that he’s played; especially the darker characters like the narcissistic Gaston from Beauty and the Beast or the greedy and impersonal Valya from Cinzano. As an artist, he tries to create each person he plays to the point where he can discover their nuance and subtleties. He finds much satisfaction from being able to relax into all the work that he has done on his character.

In his free time, you can find Julio building a big puzzle or a lego set. He finds so much joy in seeing a complete image or structure that he has built over a long period of time. A big passion project of his has been working on his Yellow Jeep Wrangler by upgrading its parts and adding a little personality to make it more his own. Once it’s completed, it will have been the biggest lego set he has built.
