Class of 2021
She/her/hers

My Bio:

Laura Riviere (she/her/hers) is an artist and designer who is passionate about using artistic mediums to embrace and celebrate all the complexities of life, both beautiful and heartbreaking. She believes that there is power in design and that that power ought to be used to draw attention to relevant issues, therefore inspiring change. Laura will graduate in 2021 with a bachelor’s degree from Carnegie Mellon University in Drama and Social & Political History; a dual focus on costume design and history has allowed Laura to dive even deeper into her love of people and the way they relate to each other and to the clothing they wear. She has worked on multiple student-led theatre productions and short films, as well as Carnegie Mellon University’s 2019 production of Or and 2021 production, In My Dreams. During the 2020 quarantine, she has widened her skill set by studying and practicing sculpture, pattern drafting, painting, draping, and fiber tufting.
