Maggie Latham

Stage & Production Manager
Class of 2024
(she/her)

Bio:

Maggie Latham grew up in Claremont, California where she began to experience the performing arts through dance, mainly ballet, jazz, and modern. After experiencing the rush of acting by portraying Betty in her middle school’s production of the play Cow Tippers (an odd choice for a Southern California Junior High), she decided to join her high school’s theatre program. While she balanced acting and dance for her first two years, she was asked to stage manage her high school’s production of Avenue Q: School Edition her junior year, and that is where her love of technical theatre and stage management began.

As an undergraduate, Maggie attended Hofstra University where she received a BFA in Theatre Arts – Production with a focus in Stage Management and a minor in Psychology in 2019. She was a member of the Honors College and graduated with honors. She was a member of the Alpha Psi Omega – Mu Psi Chapter and served as the Vice President and President of the Hofstra Chapter of USITT.

One week after her graduation, Maggie was given the opportunity to join Actor’s Equity Association by working on Play On! Shakespeare, an Off-Broadway production in partnership with Oregon Shakespeare Festival. Since becoming a member of Equity, she has worked with organizations such as Chain Theater, Surflight Theatre, New York Musical Festival, TheaterWorks USA, Mountain Playhouse, and the Gateway Performing Arts Center. She has also had the opportunity to do some television and special events work including America’s Got Talent, Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, and Macy’s 4th of July Fireworks Spectacular. Upon graduation, Maggie is planning to reestablish her West-Coast roots in Seattle to continue working as both a stage and production manager. She enjoys collaboration with good people and mentoring burgeoning managers.
