Bio:

Peter M. Rule (He/Him/His) is a theatrical designer and aspiring educator based in Pittsburgh PA. He received his BA in English Literature and Theatre with a focus in Scenic and Costume Design from Knox College in 2019, and is now graduating CMU with an MFA in Scenic Design. His design process is dramaturgically based; identifying the questions a script raises and drawing research and inspiration from his desire to explore them.  His professional goals include designing scenery and costumes for regional theatre, pursuing innovative and exciting work that questions what theatre can be, and ultimately turning his passion for theatre towards educating the next generation of designers. His favorite designs include his thesis work on Marius Von Mayenburg’s Fireface, the scenery for This Old Haunt (Carnegie Mellon University, 2022), scenery and costumes for The Mill on the Floss (Knox College, 2020), and Costumes for The Children’s Hour (Knox College, 2019).
