Sophia Gray

Actor
Class of 2024
(she/her)

Bio:

Sophia Gray was born and raised in Los Angeles, California. She first felt the magic of performing playing Eponine in Les Miserables. She loved the challenge of grasping the scope and momentousness of a story like Les Miserables. She was hooked. Thank god she did it when she was ten, nine would’ve been too young to tackle such a role. After attending Los Angeles County High School for the Arts, where she learned absolutely no math but was lucky enough to spend half the day acting, she decided she wanted to continue her study of acting which led her to Carnegie Mellon School of Drama.

Sophia is so grateful to have been stretched and challenged by the range of roles she’s performed at Carnegie Mellon which include the determined, ever loving Renee in Babel and the circumspect, sensible Kristine in A Doll’s House

As well as performing you can find Sophia spending perhaps too much of her time reading every book she can get her hands on, rewatching Gilmore Girls, which she can recite whole episodes of at this point, and taking long walks with her dogs. In short, she wants a life filled with observing and telling great stories.
