Susana Cordón

Actor/Singer/Dancer
Class of 2024
(she/her)

Bio:

Susana Cordón was born in the Rocky Mountains of Durango, Colorado, into an artistic household, surrounded by nature and deeply influenced by music. The youngest of five children, Susana was raised by her passionate Nicaraguan mother who taught her resilience and how to lead with an open heart. Moving to Massachusetts at age ten, she didn’t know where she belonged. After seeing an ad in the paper for the Franklin School for the Performing Arts, Susana had found her second home. From singing, dancing, and acting to performing and touring in Europe every summer, FSPA introduced Susana to her love of theater and guided her to pursue her passions through college.

CMU was the kind of college program Susana craved: a fierce and rigorous environment with like-minded artists. Susana found strength in her vulnerability, undertaking roles from the naive and quirky Olive Ostrovsky from The 25th Annual…Spelling Bee to the matured and glamorous Desiree in A Little Night Music. Performing as Sister Mary Robert in Pittsburgh CLO’s Sister Act and touring to Starlight Theatre in Kansas City allowed Susana to expand her repertoire while applying her rigorous acting training in a professional setting.

After studying classical acting at Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama in Cardiff, Wales for the fall semester of 2023, Susana’s love for her family, nature, and music has only expanded as she has explored more of the world. She is thrilled to see what the future holds, and will continue to approach life and work with joy and an open heart.
