Bio:

Xuewei (Eva) Hu (she/her) is a lighting designer for theater and dance. Originally from China, she brings a global perspective to her artistry. Inspired by the boundless possibilities of light, she enjoys weaving the poetic nature of light into authentic narratives, enriching the human experience with the storytelling, and sparking curiosity to explore the world  that impacts us all. 

Selected credits include South Side Stories Revisited (City Theatre), A Doll’s House (CMU Drama), You On the Moors Now (CMU Drama), The Discarded (Rattlestick Global Forms Festival), One Day Down (SheNYC Theater Festival), Walls: The Musical (La Val’s Subterranean Theater). 

She holds a B.A. in Theater and Performance Studies from UC Berkeley (2019).
