Inspired by 1968 New York City, HAIR is an iconic rock musical that follows a tribe of hippies activists who strive to find their voice, clarity, and peace in the height of Vietnam War. When Claude, a beloved member of the Tribe, is drafted to go to war, he is faced with the decision to either protest the draft with his fellow tribe members or succumb to societal pressures to conform and go serve in the army. A story about community, love, and freedom, HAIR examines what it means to be a young adult finding their voice in an uncertain world, and reminds us that “we are all one.
